Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to professionally restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, work with fellow technicians, and ensure quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.

You will plan and estimate repairs, use cutting tools, realign frames, replace parts and glass, weld and repaint as required. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Capable of working with others in a fast-paced auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and tools used in vehicle bodies.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and tolerate odors in shop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles using specialized tools.
• Realign chassis and frames to correct structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; perform interior repairs as needed.
• Weld, fit, and repaint parts to factory specifications.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
