Job summary

SAVATREE is seeking a Senior Climbing Arborist & Training Lead in Vineyard Haven, MA. The role covers pruning, removals, cabling, and leadership of a general tree care crew dedicated to health and aesthetics of client landscapes.

You will climb trees, use ropes and ladders, operate chainsaws and bucket trucks, and ensure adherence to ANSI pruning standards and safety protocols. Training and development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
• Experience pruning large trees and safe climbing techniques.
• Experience with chainsaws and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddle, and ladders.
• Operate chainsaws and aerial lifts safely and efficiently.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety practices.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job.
