Job summary

SavATree seeks a Senior Climbing Arborist & Training Lead to join our General Tree Care Team. You’ll apply advanced climbing, pruning, and safety expertise across pruning, removals, and cabling to protect and enhance client landscapes.

You’ll lead training and mentor crew members, uphold ANSI pruning standards, and drive a culture of safety and quality in all field tasks. This role emphasizes leadership and hands‑on arborist work.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Passion for outdoor work and environmental stewardship
• Experience with pruning large trees and ornamentals
• Knowledge of tree species and characteristics
• Comfort climbing without spurs
• Adherence to safety standards in tree care
• Experience with equipment like chainsaws and bucket trucks

Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality tree care: pruning, removals, cabling
• Climb trees safely using proper techniques and gear
• Operate chainsaws and aerial lifts effectively
• Apply ANSI pruning standards and Z safety guidelines
• Ensure pruning cuts preserve health and structure of trees
• Assist in removals using ropes and takedown gear
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before/during/after jobs
• Perform aerial rescues when needed and maintain safety
• Maintain clear communication with team and clients
• Take ownership and contribute to a safety‑focused culture
