Eurest in the United States is seeking a Catering Executive Sous Chef to lead high-end catering culinary operations in a unionized environment. This role directs daily production and execution of premium engagements, upholding culinary excellence, safety, and labor relations.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop menus, forecast needs, control costs, and ensure exceptional guest experiences at corporate cafes and executive dining rooms with on-site catering.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience.
• Union experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, production, and plating for high-end catering.
• Develops innovative menus, sources premium ingredients, and ensures adherence to recipes and standards.
• Forecast food and labor needs, manage inventory, and optimize purchasing for cost efficiency.
• Manage financial targets by reducing waste, optimizing yield, and tracking expenses.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure kitchen facilities meet sanitation, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
• Conduct daily pre-service meetings and team huddles to set expectations.
• Interact professionally with guests and clients.
