Job summary

Marriott Madison South is seeking a Banquet Server to set up banquet/meeting rooms and serve food and beverages at meetings, banquets, and catering events. You will ensure guest satisfaction through courteous service, table management, and timely assistance with questions and requests.

Responsibilities include assisting with event setup and teardown, greeting guests, circulating trays, and maintaining cleanliness of banquet areas.

Qualifications

• Courteous and attentive to guests.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Alcohol Server Permit is required to serve alcohol at events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all event set-up prior to event start time, including dressing and setting tables.
• Greet guests as they enter the event and help them find their seats if necessary.
• Serve food and beverages with accuracy and politeness, and respond to guest needs.
• Clear dishes and assist with post-event cleanup and turnover of banquet spaces.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for special instructions and guest requests.
