Job summary

The Edgewater in Madison, WI is seeking Banquet Setup staff to prepare rooms and event spaces for meetings, banquets, and functions. Duties include arranging chairs, tables, stations, decorations, and equipment to support successful events.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet setup, preferably in a high-volume hotel or banquet environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and management.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
• Demonstrate an understanding of food, ingredients, prep methods, sanitation requirements, and basic bar terminology.
• Ability to operate equipment: coffee machine, hot box, soda dispenser, Bain Maries, beer taps, and related equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to use moderately complex computer software.
