Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Banquet Manager at Bellagio to lead world-class events from galas to large conventions. You will oversee banquet operations, drive staffing strategies, and partner with Catering, Culinary, and Resort Operations to uphold Bellagio's luxury standards.

Ideal candidates have significant supervisory experience in convention and banquet operations, with a focus on flawless service, operational excellence, and team development in a high-end environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a large convention center or banquet operation at the Assistant Manager level or higher.
• 5+ years of continuous supervisory or management experience in convention and banquet operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department.
• Oversees cash concessions and snack bars on the tradeshow floor.
• Works with Catering Manager regarding servicing of events.
• Attends preplanning meetings with Catering Manager for upcoming groups.
• Manages staffing ratios, room layouts, menu implementation, and operation of events.
• Ensures staff follow policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Reviews Banquet Event Orders and communicates plans to team.
• Manages inventory control of consumables and equipment.
• Delivers guest service aligned to brand standards.
• Participates in staff training and development for the department.
