Job summary

Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to lead daily operations for Conventions & Banquets, directing high-volume events with precision and style. You will partner with event planners and culinary teams to ensure flawless execution and the WOW factor for thousands of guests.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ years in catering/banquets, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage staffing, service flow, and cross-department coordination in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of catering & banquets experience or related field.
• 1+ years as banquet supervisor/captain preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Staffing ratios, room layouts, menu implementation and operation of events with Banquet Managers and EMM/Catering Manager.
• Review Banquet Event Orders and create event diagrams when needed.
• Prepare back-of-house strike sheets and server assignments for each event.
• Coordinate with support departments to finalize food, beverage, equipment, power, and room setup; oversee service staff and policy compliance.
• Manage HR for assigned areas, promote client service, teamwork, recognition and employee satisfaction.
