Job summary

AutoNation in Nashville seeks an Advanced Autonomous Vehicle Technician to perform complex diagnostics, calibrations, and system integrations on autonomous vehicles. You will tackle powertrain, sensor, and compute hardware issues and validate performance against standards.

The role requires collaborating with engineering, operations, and field safety teams, executing tests, analyzing data, and mentoring junior technicians. 3–5+ years in AV/EV settings preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years automotive/EV/robotics/AV technician experience.
• Strong diagnostic experience across mechanical/electrical systems.
• Hands-on with sensor systems and compute hardware.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to interpret engineering docs and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on AV powertrain and high-voltage systems.
• Calibrate sensors and validate AV perception performance.
• Install/replace AV components and support software deployments.
• Execute test plans, collect data, and provide feedback on hardware.
• On-site field testing, issue escalation, and documentation.
