Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced AV Technician in Orlando, FL to perform complex diagnostics, calibration, and system integration on autonomous vehicles. You will troubleshoot sensors, compute modules, networks, and power systems to ensure safe fleet operation.

Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, sensor and system calibration, AV hardware/software support, field testing, and thorough documentation. Requires 3–5+ years in automotive/EV/robotics/AV tech and hands‑on sensor experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years as automotive/EV/robotics/AV technician.
• Strong diagnostic experience for mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Hands‑on experience with LiDAR, radar, cameras and compute hardware.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, scan tools, and electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repair of AV powertrain, high‑voltage, and subsystems.
• Calibrate LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMU, and perception systems.
• Install, configure, and replace AV components; support software deployments and data extraction.
• Support on‑road and closed‑course testing, real‑time troubleshooting, and field recoveries.
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs and diagnostics; mentor teammates.
