Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Technician in Miami to perform complex diagnostics, calibration, and integration on autonomous fleets. You will work with CAN/LIN, LiDAR, radar, cameras, and AV compute modules, supporting software deployments and field testing.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as automotive, EV, robotics, or AV technician.
• Strong diagnostic experience with mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Hands-on experience with sensor systems (LiDAR, radar, cameras) and computer hardware.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, scan tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Must have some select tools.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with CAN/LIN tools (e.g., CANalyzer, SavvyCAN, Vehicle Spy) preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work under vehicles, and operate in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on AV powertrain, subsystems, and high-voltage systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and validate faults involving CAN networks, LIN bus, power distribution, and AV computer hardware.
• Calibrate LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMUs, and perception systems to meet AV standards.
• Install, configure, and replace AV components including compute modules and networking equipment.
• Support software deployments, data extraction, log reviews, and local debugging.
• Assist with on-road and closed-course AV testing and field issue responses.
