Job summary

DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking an Elite Auto Technician to perform bumper-to-bumper repairs with minimal customer interaction in a dedicated reconditioning setting. You will inspect vehicles for safety, collaborate with Reconditioning Center Management, and handle advanced repairs across various vehicle systems.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience, owning your own tools, and ability to work on all makes and models. ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of on-the-job experience performing light to medium line work (Brakes, Engine, Steering/Suspension, Cooling, A/C, Electrical).
• ASE certification is a plus but not required.
• Must own your own tool set and be able to communicate in English in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Able to work on all makes and models (Domestic, European and Asian).

Responsibilities

• Mechanically inspecting vehicles for safety and drivability and documenting findings.
• Repairing or rejecting inventory based on cost estimates and quality.
• Performing advanced automotive repairs.
• Proficient in cooling, braking, charging, steering/suspension, AC and electrical systems.
• Identify and complete repairs correctly the first time to minimize rework.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain safe work environment and prevent hazards.
