Job summary

BMW of San Diego is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle components with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.

You will perform inspections, troubleshoot and repair engine, mechanical, and electrical systems, verify serviceability, maintain shop cleanliness, document work orders, and communicate findings to the Service Advisor while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with automotive experience.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine required repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engine, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Verify serviceability and test drive to ensure quality repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper tool usage.
• Document all work in the repair order and communicate with the Service Advisor.
• Follow safety procedures and shop policies.
