Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, precise to speed, quality, and customer experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or tech training, ability to read job orders, and proficiency with body repair tools. You will work with a team to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise across our shops.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy environment.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and tool handling.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools to repair sections of a vehicle and restore symmetry.
• Realign chassis/frames to fix structural damage.
• Remove damaged parts and install new or aftermarket components.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles per factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
