Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Dallas, GA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to meticulously assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, delivering speed, quality and customer excellence across all touchpoints.

The role requires high school diploma or technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship with proficiency in reading job orders and using automotive tools. Excellent teamwork and safety in a busy shop are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified or equivalent paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
