Job summary

AZ Department of Economic Security (DES) is hiring an Adult Protective Services Investigator to investigate complex cases involving vulnerable adults 18+ who are abused, neglected, or exploited. The role includes travel for field assessments and coordination with guardianship and conservatorship entities.

Qualified candidates will have a Social Work, Criminal Justice, Rehabilitation, or related degree and/or relevant case management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Rehabilitation, Healthcare or closely related field.
• One (1) year of experience providing professional Case Management / Investigations Services (Intake, Needs Assessment, Service Planning, and Monitoring and Evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess vulnerable and incapacitated adults 18+ for abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely case files and write comprehensive reports.
• Coordinate guardianship and/or conservatorship referrals and court appearances.
• Provide information and in-service to community agencies and public.
• Travel as required to perform case investigations.
