Job summary

The Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services, is seeking an Adult Protective Services (APS) Investigator in Flagstaff to conduct in-depth investigations, document findings, and coordinate protective services for vulnerable adults. Travel may be required, and you will work with custody and community partners to ensure safety and well-being.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or related fields or equivalent experience, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Rehabilitation, Healthcare, or closely related field.
• One year of experience in professional Case Management / Investigations (Intake, Needs Assessment, Service Planning, Monitoring).
• Be subject to background checks, fingerprint clearance, E-Verify, and driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate complex cases involving vulnerable adults (18+).
• Provide direct and indirect services and maintain case files.
• Write clear progress notes, case plans, risk and safety assessments, and closure summaries.
• Coordinate with guardianship/conservatorship entities as needed.
• Provide testimony in court and liaison with community resources.
