Job summary

The Antitrust & Competition Practice Group at an AmLaw 50 firm in Washington, DC seeks an Associate Attorney to work on merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation, and compliance counseling with a hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, DC bar admission, 3–4 years of antitrust experience, strong research, writing, and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing.
• 3-4 years of post-JD antitrust and competition law experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in antitrust litigation in federal and state courts.
• Assist with merger clearance reviews and regulatory filings.
• Advise clients during investigations by FTC, DOJ, and state AGs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex competition issues.
• Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, and client memoranda.
• Collaborate with other practice groups on transactional and litigation matters.
• Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and competition policy.
