The AmLaw 50 firm in Washington, DC, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Antitrust & Competition Practice. The candidate will handle high-profile merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation matters, and compliance counseling for sophisticated multinational clients.

Ideal candidates have JD from a top-tier law school, DC bar in good standing, 3–4 years of antitrust experience, strong research and writing, and excellent client-facing skills. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
Active Washington, DC bar admission in good standing.
3–4 years of post-JD antitrust and competition experience.
Experience handling antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and regulatory investigations.
Experience representing clients before the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general preferred.
Knowledge of merger clearance processes and cartel investigations.
Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
Excellent writing, advocacy, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in antitrust litigation in federal and state courts.
Assist with merger clearance reviews and related regulatory filings.
Advise clients during investigations conducted by the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general.
Conduct legal research and analysis involving complex competition law issues.
Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, white papers, and client memoranda.
Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support transactional and litigation matters.
Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and competition policy.
