Job summary

FC Dallas is seeking a Full-Time Academy Goalkeeper Coach to lead the development of goalkeepers within the FC Dallas Academy pathway. The role combines coaching, analysis, and administration to align with the club’s philosophy and development model.

You will plan and deliver GK sessions, coach for training and matches, and implement IDPs while integrating GK within team systems and reporting progress. Strong communication and bilingual abilities are valued as part of a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience playing at a high level (D1 college, USL, MLS, etc.) required.
Previous experience coaching at academy, collegiate, or professional level preferred.
U.S. Soccer ‘B’ License (or equivalent) preferred.
Strong understanding of goalkeeper development and modern playing styles.
A passion for soccer and developing youth players.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage players, staff, and families.
Experience with video analysis and performance tracking tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.
Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) or multi-lingual preferred.
Energetic, driven, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and evaluate goalkeeper training sessions.
Prepare goalkeepers for training sessions and matches.
Develop and implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each goalkeeper.
Ensure goalkeepers are tactically integrated within team systems in collaboration with Academy Head Coaches.
Serve as a positive role model by promoting professionalism, sportsmanship, and club values.
Prepare goalkeepers for matches through physical, technical, tactical, and psychological preparation.
Conduct relevant opposition analysis and post-match feedback/reporting.
Utilize video analysis and data tools to evaluate goalkeeper performance in training and matches.
Maintain detailed performance records and report as necessary.
Identify and scout prospective Academy-level goalkeepers through internal and external pathways.
Assist in trial processes and evaluation of potential recruits.
Work closely with the Academy Goalkeeping Director to ensure alignment across age groups.
Collaborate with first team and professional pathway staff to support progression.
