Job summary

The Portland Timbers Academy is seeking an Academy Goalkeeper Coach to lead and develop the organization’s goalkeepers within a high-performance coaching framework. You will design training plans, work with the MLS Next Pro GK staff, and align with Academy coaches on player development and match preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching goalkeepers at youth/academy level.
• Ability to design goalkeeper-specific training within a team framework.
• Strong communication with players, staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• On-field goalkeeper coaching for Academy activities and matches.
• Design individual training regimens for goalkeepers.
• Scout opponents and debrief goalkeepers for game prep.
• Coordinate with MLS Next Pro GK staff on projects and coverage.
• Develop off-season programs and maintain team communication.
