Health Advocates, LLC seeks an Eligibility Worker for our Visalia, CA hospital site to screen patients for government benefits, submit applications, and track case progress. You’ll collaborate with hospital and county staff, maintain logs, and help ensure timely case completion.
The role requires 1–2 years of customer experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to travel between hospital sites. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with a 7:30–5 schedule and paid training offering.
Description
Eligibility Workers help qualify patients/claimants for governmental benefits (Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI, TPL, etc.) within established guidelines. Responsibilities include telephone or bedside screening, completing and submitting applications to appropriate county offices, follow‑up with patient/family and county workers for successful completion of cases, and updating information in hospital computer database. Additional responsibilities may include participating in weekly hospital meetings to provide case updates, traveling to other hospital client sites to provide support as needed, maintaining and updating logs and journals, generating reports, and performing miscellaneous related duties.
Working Title: Case Manager I
Pay Rate: $21.75 – $28.00 per hour (Depending on Relevant Experience)
Position Type: Full‑time; Non‑exempt
Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule – Mon‑Thurs 7:30 am‑5:00 pm & Fri 7:30 am‑12:30 pm
Other: We conduct assessment testing and post‑offer background checks.
