Job Summary

This position helps qualify patients/claimants for government benefits such as Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI, TPL, and others within established guidelines. Responsibilities include telephone screening, completing applications, follow‑up with patients/claimants and county workers, submitting applications to the appropriate offices, updating information in the database, and performing miscellaneous related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience; healthcare environment or any mix of experience, education or training.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (read, speak, write).
• Desire to help others.
• Additional bilingual skills in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese are a plus.
• Basic office skills and computer literacy required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt and manage change in a fast‑paced environment.
• Typing speed 30 wpm.
