Florida Department of Children & Families – Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency is seeking an Eligibility Supervisor (SES) based in Riviera Beach to oversee a team responsible for public assistance eligibility. The role focuses on guiding staff, ensuring quality, and meeting performance targets.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years of eligibility experience, strong supervisory skills, and knowledge of federal/state benefits programs and related systems.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years' experience determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance.
• Knowledge of the eligibility processes and applicable computer systems used in determining public assistance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervises public assistance eligibility staff and ensures all unit responsibilities are processed accurately and timely.
• Reviews and analyzes case records and conducts staff case discussions for development.
• Handles administrative tasks, prepares performance reports, and supports planning and budgeting.
• Provides training to employees on policy, procedures, and required technical assistance.
• Conducts monthly performance conferences and develops individual/unit improvement plans.
