Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years design and drafting experience in mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, physics, statics and dynamics.
• Familiarity with elevator codes and standards is preferred.
• Proficient with CAD tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage mechanical elevator systems and subsystems.
• Define requirements and limitations of elevator design in documentation.
• Verify and validate elevator design through analysis and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development.
• Prepare system test plans and support testing as needed.
• Apply elevator codes (A17.1), IBC, NBCC and internal standards.
