Job summary

American Elevator Group seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Tampa, FL area team, performing repair services on rack and pinion and hydraulic elevators to keep systems reliable for customers. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, blueprint literacy, and strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Mechanic required.
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and related documents.
Experience as a route mechanic preferred.
Must follow established safety, maintenance and testing procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
Rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful.
CET certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide repair services on rack & pinion and some hydraulic elevators.
Ensure elevators are in proper working order.
Adhere to safety and maintenance procedures while on site.
