Job summary

American Elevator Group in Rockport, IN is seeking an experienced Repair Technician to join our Evansville/Rockport area team. You will perform repairs on rack-and-pinion and hydraulic elevators and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and experience as a route mechanic; CET certification is highly regarded and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and related documents.
• Experience as a route mechanic.
• Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and testing procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful.
• CET certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on rack-and-pinion and hydraulic elevators.
• Read blueprints and manuals to diagnose issues and apply fixes.
