Job summary

American Elevator Group seeks an experienced Repair Mechanic to service the St. Petersburg, FL area. The role focuses on repairing rack and pinion and hydraulic elevators, ensuring reliable operation and safety for building occupants.

The candidate will work with a team in a fast-growing organization, leveraging blueprints and technical manuals to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance while adhering to rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic in elevator service.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and technical documents.
• Experience as a route mechanic and adherence to safety procedures.
• Good troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful.
• CET certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide repair services on rack and pinion and hydraulic elevators as needed.
• Ensure elevators are in proper working order and safe for operation.
• Follow established safety, maintenance and testing procedures.

We are looking for an experienced Repair Mechanic to work in the St. Petersburg/Tampa, FL metro area to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible.

We are looking for an experienced Technician to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible. In this role you will be providing repair services on rack and pinion and some hydraulic elevators, ensuring elevators are in proper working order.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates will possess 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents
• Experience as a route mechanic
• Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Previous experience with rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful
• CET is strongly preferred.
