Job summary

South Florida Elevator Service, part of American Elevator Group, is growing and seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to service the Miami/Doral area. You will install, maintain, and repair elevators and other lifting equipment, ensuring safety and reliability while diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.

The role requires at least 4 years' elevator experience or completion of an apprenticeship/technical training, strong problem-solving, good communication with building owners, and

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or technical school training in elevator repair.
• Minimum of 4 years of elevator experience.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect elevators of all types and makes; diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and other lifting equipment.
• Analyze and repair failures; troubleshoot in emergencies.
• Repair or replace defective parts and conduct regular inspections.
• Respond to emergency repair calls promptly and maintain repair records.
• Provide excellent customer service to building owners and occupants.
