Job summary

Lifeway Mobility in Centerville, UT is seeking an Accessibility Equipment Installer / Elevator Technician to install, service, and repair residential elevators, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts and related equipment. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs, while communicating clearly with customers and maintaining accurate records.

The role involves hands-on mechanical/electrical work, independent or tandem site projects, and occasional travel around Salt Lake City.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical/electrical equipment installation, service, residential remodeling, or construction.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair accessibility equipment, including residential elevators, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, vertical platform lifts, ceiling lifts, and ramps.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete residential modifications, including remodeling and accessibility improvements.
• Work directly with customers, explain equipment operation, and answer questions.
• Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and inventory using company software.
• Participate in manufacturer training and ongoing technical development.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
• Work independently or alongside another technician, depending on the project.
