Job summary

J. Haley ES is seeking a Title I Elementary Academic Specialist to support the instructional program under the Campus Principal. This grant-funded role focuses on coaching teachers, analyzing data, and aligning lessons with TEKS and structured literacy practices to improve student achievement.

The position reports to the Campus Principal and participates in district professional development. It is a exempt, full-time instructional role within the School Leadership department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate.
• Bilingual/ESL or Spanish certification preferred.
• Completion of Texas Ready Academy.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly planning meetings with grade level teams.
• Serve as instructional coach and mentor to staff.
• Ensure TEKS alignment with district curriculum and literacy practices.
• Observe classrooms and provide timely feedback on instruction.
• Mentor new teachers and teachers new to campus/district.
• Support data-driven instruction and intervention planning.
