Job summary

Plano ISD seeks an Elementary Teaching/ K-2 Teacher to provide engaging lessons aligned with district curriculum and standards. The teacher will support students' intellectual, emotional, and social growth in a supportive classroom.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, Texas teaching certificate, ESL and Special Education certifications as applicable, and at least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate are required.
• Certification for ESL is required for specified elementary/middle/high school positions.
• Special Education certification is required for all teachers at Early Childhood campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lessons aligned with the district curriculum and standards.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate individual student needs.
• Assess student learning and use results to guide instruction.
• Integrate technology and instructional materials in learning activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to support IEP goals.
• Maintain reports and records as required by Plano ISD.
• Communicate with families and participate in staff development.
