Job summary

The teacher will develop and deliver standards-aligned lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with staff to meet diverse student needs while upholding district policies and using appropriate technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and grade.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area.
• ESL certification required for Pre-K/elementary and certain middle/high school English positions.
• Special Education certification required for Early Childhood campuses.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align to district curricula.
• Differentiate instruction for individual student needs.
• Present content according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use instructional strategies and technology to meet student needs.
• Assess student learning and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff on IEP goals and accommodations.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Integrate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain records and file all required reports.
• Communicate with parents, students, and colleagues.
