Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy seeks elementary teachers for our growing network of charter schools in Memphis, TN. You will introduce and help students master concepts across Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, and ESL, plus electives like Art, Spanish, or PE. You will collaborate with teachers to align curricula and assessments.

Responsibilities include upholding high expectations, using data to inform practice, and maintaining records. A strong commitment to the school mission is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Valid Alabama teaching license and endorsements in the hired content area or reciprocity from a state with Alabama.
• Enrollment in a certification program with eligibility for licensure.
• Eligibility for Alabama teaching license required.
• Two to four years of urban teaching and educational leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse learners in a heterogeneously grouped classroom.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
