Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy seeks elementary teachers for our growing network of charter schools. You will introduce and help students develop mastery of concepts assessed throughout the year, presenting material in varied ways to ensure understanding and execution of content.

Applicants should have expertise in Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, and ESOL; electives include Art, Spanish, and PE. Each teacher leads their subject area and aligns to standards while collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Valid Alabama teaching license and endorsements in the hired content area or eligibility for reciprocity, or enrollment in a certification program.
• Eligibility for Alabama teaching license required.
• Two to four years of urban teaching and educational leadership experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
