Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid Indiana Teaching License in Elementary Education for Grades K-5.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
• Core Knowledge Experience.
• At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment with direct and indirect instruction across core subjects.
• Create an inviting and engaging learning environment to develop critical thinking.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents and track student progress.
• Collaborate with Special Education and administration to support diverse learners.
• Attend required staff meetings and school functions outside regular hours.
• Establish and enforce behavior rules and classroom procedures.
• Accept feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Perform duties during morning, lunch, dismissal, and after-school times.
