Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid State Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6.
• Strong tech skills to integrate technology in the classroom.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
• Experience with National Board Certification, Core Knowledge, or Blended Learning.
• At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment with direct and indirect instruction.
• Create an engaging learning environment to develop critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and required assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents.
• Continually assess progress and provide daily feedback, weekly assessments, and conferences as needed.
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers and administration for special needs students.
• Establish and enforce behavior rules and procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and school events beyond hours as required.
• Perform morning, lunch, dismissal, and after-school duties.
