Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for 3rd Grade at Lakewood Elementary. This full-time on-site role requires delivering district curriculum and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learners.

Candidates must hold a valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate, have experience with early elementary students, and communicate regularly with families. COVID vaccination proof requested.

• Evaluate academic and social growth of students, keep appropriate records and prepare progress report.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Education and/or Experience:

Language Skills:

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions in group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
