Job summary

Confluence Academies is seeking a substitute teacher to support elementary classrooms in Missouri. You will teach district-approved curricula, implement lesson plans, and tailor instruction for individual students within developmentally appropriate activities.

The role involves maintaining classroom behavior standards, coordinating with paraprofessionals and volunteers, and communicating with the regular teacher about student progress and concerns.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelors degree preferred.
• Certification: Valid teaching or substitute certificate in the State of Missouri preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teacher on a daily basis wherever needed.
• Teaches district approved curriculum.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and regulations.
• Implements regular teacher's lesson plans and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior.
• Identifies pupil needs and develops strategies for IEPs.
• Plans and coordinates work of paraprofessionals, parents and volunteers.
