Job summary

Campus is seeking a Substitute to act in place of the regular classroom teacher. The role reports to the campus principal and follows normal school hours. The substitute is expected to cover assigned classes, maintain attendance, and follow established lesson plans.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and experience with students (preferred). The position is a full-time role with an exempt status under the district’s FLSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (preferred).
• Experience working with students (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Records names, dates of absences, and tardiness as instructed.
• Maintains routine and follows lesson plans; works to meet individual needs and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals; supports student achievement.
• Encourages appropriate student behavior and manages classroom discipline.
• Notifies a neighboring teacher or principal for assistance when needed.
• Leaves a summary of work covered and notes on students who did not follow rules or complete work.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
