Job summary

American Leadership Academy - Johnston is seeking Elementary Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year, with eligibility for the SPED stipend. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check and hold North Carolina Teaching Certificate with EC endorsement.

Responsibilities include adapting instruction to IEPs, collaborating with general education teachers, communicating with families, and contributing to progress reporting and planning for inclusion students.

• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt instructional delivery and materials to IEPs for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion.
• Communicate with parents, school psychologists, and professionals to plan IEP/evaluation meetings.
• Serve as IEP facilitator between special education and general education.
• Update IEPs and progress data reports.
• Complete report cards and progress reports for students.
• Identify interventions with staff and monitor IEP goals.
