Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent classroom teaching experience in special education.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Present and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Regularly assess student progress and manage goal tracking to ensure academic and developmental advancement.
• Conduct student testing as necessary to inform educational strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and facilitate communication between staff and families.
• Focus on classroom teaching; all case management is managed by district-level administration.
