Job summary

Soliant Health in Connecticut is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team for a full school year. Located close to New Milford, CT, this contract position offers 35 hours per week with paraeducator support to focus on individualized instruction and a positive learning environment.

You will develop IEPs, collaborate with general education teachers and families, and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Valid and current Connecticut State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Work closely with paraeducators to provide classroom support and facilitate student learning
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and updating IEPs as required
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support academic and social-emotional growth
• Adapt curriculum and modify instructional resources to meet students’ unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
