Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in Hickory, North Carolina, within a General Curriculum setting for grades 3–5. The caseload is about 32 students shared between two teachers, with duties including pull-out and resource instruction and potential push-in support, plus IEP development and progress monitoring.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active North Carolina Special Education/General Curriculum license or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience with elementary students and inclusive settings.
• Experience with IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Provide pull-out and resource instruction.
