Onward Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an on-site elementary role (K-4) in Genesee County, Michigan, for the 2026-2027 school year. The position emphasizes collaboration with general education teams, targeted interventions, and student-centered support plans.

You will support students with disabilities through inclusive supports and pull-out instruction, aligning with IEPs and promoting meaningful progress alongside families and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan teaching certificate required.
• Michigan Special Education endorsement required; endorsement area should align with the caseload.
• Experience in elementary SPED settings (inclusion, resource, or specialized programming).
• Strong collaboration and communication with families and campus partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SPED instruction aligned to IEP goals across whole/large/small groups.
• Collaborate with general education staff for inclusive or co-taught settings.
• Provide resource/pull-out instruction and targeted interventions.
• Implement accommodations/modifications to support access and progress.
• Collect data, monitor progress, and document IEP progress.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with families.
