Job summary

Cary Reynolds Elementary is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom and community. Implement instructional activities and promote high academic expectations as part of a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment; an associate degree or 60 college hours with an approved certificate is also acceptable. Position requires adherence to district policies and FERPA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Associate degree or 60 semester hours from a approved college with minimum GPA 2.0.
• Valid PSC paraprofessional certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily classroom activities and follow lesson plans.
• Support students with physical, personal care, health-related needs as required.
• Provide small group and one-on-one instructional support under supervision.
• Monitor student behavior and assist with data collection and progress monitoring.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and FERPA compliance.
