Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools' Fishers Landing Elementary School in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator. The role supports students under the Special Services department, reports to the Special Education Instructor/Building Principal, and follows a schedule of about 6.33 hours daily across 190 days per year.

Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and meet one of several options (ETS ParaPro score 455+, associate degree, 72 quarter credits, or Paraeducator

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND
• Have a passing score of 455 or higher on the Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment or PRAXIS; or
• Hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
• Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher; or
• Have completed a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program (registered with WA Apprenticeship Council)

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Instructor/Building Principal in daily activities.
• Support students during instructional tasks and classroom routines.
