Job summary

Bridges Public Charter School is seeking a Special Education Lead Teacher for an elementary non-categorical self-contained classroom serving students with high-level needs for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will plan and manage the classroom with assistant teachers, implement discrete trial instruction, social skills and behavior plans under the supervision of the BCBA, and contribute to IEP development and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree in Elementary Education and/or Special Education preferred.
• Certification in Special Education preferred.
• Praxis SPED exams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage an elementary non-categorical self-contained classroom with high-level special needs students and assistant teachers.
• Develop and implement classroom discrete trial instruction, social skills instruction, and behavior plans with BCBA supervision.
• Contribute to Social/Emotional progress reports and IEP development under BCBA supervision.
• Assess student progress using VBMAPP Milestones, Transitions, and Barriers assessments.
