Job summary

Georgian Forest Elementary School in Silver Spring seeks a part-time Special Education teacher to deliver direct instruction and support for students with disabilities. You will collaborate with the general education teacher and monitor outcomes to inform IEP development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland certification requirements or meeting SPC I standards is desirable.
• Experience with IEP development, data collection, and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with the general education teacher to support student learning.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes for students with disabilities and assist in IEP development.
• Attend school meetings and activities outside the instructional day as required.
