Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education is required.
• MD SPC I certification or eligibility is required/desired.
• Strong knowledge of IEPs, learning theory, and differentiated instruction.
• Familiarity with ESSA/IDEA and MCPS policy guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with the general education teacher to implement inclusive practices.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes and progress toward IEP goals.
• Assist in development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Education
